KVH’s strong presence in Asian markets that are strategically important for Colt and significant customer base makes the company an excellent fit for Colt. This acquisition helps Colt extend its global footprint and provides a solid platform for growth. Colt Group now has end-to-end control of a network spanning three continents and manages 29 carrier-neutral datacentres, 22 owned across Europe and a further 7 managed across the Asia Pacific region.
Colt and KVH are complementary businesses, with similar business models, customer profiles, products and services. Both businesses are focused on information intensive verticals (capital markets, media, business services, carriers and cloud service providers) and the cities that these are based in. The combined Colt Group has the ability to meet the demand from customers for seamless solutions on a global basis and supports customers across 86 countries.
